Ode to the Green Bay Packers.....

YES......I am a cheesehead!!!!!!!!!!



Yes, I grew up in San Francisco....I liked the 49ers....yes DH grew up in San Diego and loved the Chargers!!! but when we moved to Michigan DH and I decided we needed a team - and it could not be the Detroit Lions...well because we could never love them, not like the michiganders do!!

So we decided The Packers were it, Wisconsin is the Dairy state!!!!!! and right about that time (1996) a young quarterback by the name of Brett Favre was leading them to the superbowl. DH and I have a special fondness for good ole boy hicks who like to ride tractors!!!!

I love Lambeau field.......the atmosphere and the fans..it really is like another world there!!! Our first visit in 2005 against the Browns....my not so good camera!! But it really captured the stadium!! And it was awesome to sit on the 45 yard line...a few seats away from Mr. Kohler...you know that man who makes the toilets!! the man who also scooted past me and spilled my Nachos and tipped my beer!!!!! and didn't care!!!!!



2006 against the Saints....my newer...better camera - capturing all my favorite men out there on the field!!!!! I won't bore you with my other 100 photos!!!!!

November 2007 ~ let's note I got up at an unearthly hour to drive all the way to Detroit on Thanksgiving morning to see them WOMP on the Lions..oh yeah!!!!

Right before one of the many touchdowns all my favorite recievers lined up!!

And then March 2008 DH and I set sail on a cruise to the Caribbean..what we did not know when we signed up was THIS WAS A PACKER CRUISE!!!!!!!! So I was on cloud nine seeing these players!!!!!!! 3 players and a group of 200 packer fans!!! My BIL who was also on the Cruise is a big Boise State fan and fellow packer player Daryn Colledge who played at Boise State was one of the players....he also ended up travleing on the same airplane as BIL and SIL from Boise Id. So once we arrived on the cruise BIL felt like he has talked and stalked Darren enough...but I could stop myself from getting another very Paparazzi-ish photo of them in Aruba on their Jeep excursion - he was a big Dude!!

Saw this boy..Nick Barnett all over the cruise, he is pretty social!!! But DH and BIL had a great time surfing with them in St Maarten!!!!!

Next to Brett Favre..this man right here is my Favorite - Greg Jennings..he is a local boy from Kalamazoo Michigan. I know where his house is, LOL!! He and his wife had a great time on the cruise, we saw them almost everyday! I did go up and talk to him and his wife once by the pool...I had helped her out the door at Kohl's a few weeks prior (small world) but I didn't want to bother him with a picture as he seems just too nice!! But he was on our flight back home so I did grab him in the airport for a photo!!!!

Maybe you follow sports????? I am so sad to see my man Brett go....we were on the cruise when he announced his retirement and well who knows where he will end up..but I will enjoy watching him play whereever!!!!!!! He is a legend!!!!!
