vacation album....getting bigger!

Seriously...this is probably one of the first times in my long scrapping life of 13 years that I am compiling what seems to be a whole full size album of a vacation{{GASP}} do people even do this anymore??? usually I have a good 30 or 40 photos from a trip but really end up with about 5 or 6 layouts of some specific memories - so I guess I can blame it on the love of my camera...the massive size of my hubby's family and well..ya...I like to take pictures, especially when it is gorgeous and sunny and I am on vacation! and these pictures now 3 years old hold a lot of memories..therefore I want to scrap them!!!!!

first up the GOLF layout - I actually didn't take this photo..because well...this is a "guy trip" to the golf course..for some "guy time"..so of course I wasn't invited...yet I actually handed over the smaller...not my first love....little pocket digi to hubby and he handed it off to the random golf guy! and the camera actually made it back to me and wasn't left on the seat of the golf cart...or at the "19th hole" {SHOCKER}

this was a challenge over at WT, for the layout every other day(LEO) to use varying shades of green/grey/brown and is really a change up from my loud and colorful patterns..I really enjoyed working "soft" and "light"

I have been enjoying digging into my stash of pattern paper and embellies - really mixing it up - some BG paper, some sassafrass, felt flower..how about them MM rubons, LOL!

Coffee @ 10 ~Another very memorable snapshot of my hubby's parents..doing what they do best - sticking to their schedule and having "coffeetime" at 10 am right on the beach..everyday of vacation!

dug into a couple of old kits for this one - grabbing a bit of hambly here and prima there.

I love the softer colors in your golf layout. And the coffee time one is great with the edging and the flower. What a cute memory to record in your album!

Those are both wonderful Gina! The papers/colors of the first one are perfect with the photo and the second one has some great layering! Glad you could join the Hop this week!

Gorgeous layouts, Gina! And, yes, I do that all the time. I take so many photos and take home so much memorabilia that I feel compelled to put it all into one album. I have to say I love looking back at them, too. I wouldn't have remembered most of the things we did, if it wasn't all in there.

Great pages. You have a real eye for color selection.

I have a couple of full size vacation albums. The pics just needed more room than my normal album could give them.
