Last week we were down with some friends on a lake in Indiana..and wow was it nice to just sit and enjoy conversation and the kids!!!!! how relaxing!!!

Now this week..add in my Noah's 8th birthday

and the 4-h fair!! This is a new experience for us!! My oldest is 9 and showing a dairy calf! It has been an awesome experience for him to raise this animal the last 5 months....and now this week to practically live at the fairgrounds taking care of - BIG BOB! Yesterday he had to show Big Bob and Trey won a ribbon...which was so exciting!! Those motherly emotions kicked in big time yesterday sitting up in the stands at the arena...I just prayed so badly he got a ribbon, any ribbon...that was all he wanted. He doesn't even understand yet all the different things he had to do to be a good showman or why his calf won 4th place....for those little dudes....it's all about that shiny ribbon you hang above your animal!! This has begun the experience the boys will learn over the years....I can't wait!!!

Needless to say....I have not scrapped at all!!!!!

Oh, wow, Gina! Congrats to Trey! He looks so proud in that picture. And from an ex (as in many long years ago) dairy farm kid...nice lookin' calf! You're starting the "big kid" stuff aren't you? What fun!
Congrats to Trey on his ribbon! And I have the same problem as far as uploading pictures......I'm SO bad at it!
Oh how fun! I *love* the fair! Your guys are so dang cute!!!
I'm really bad about the picture thing too! Congrats to Trey and Happy Birthday to Noah! Wait a couple of years until you hit those preteens! Time just starts to fly by then!
